Kelan Watson, Owner/Founder:
Kelan Watson still nurtures the sweet tooth she cherished as a child growing up in Atlanta. Today, as the owner and founder of Sovereign, Kelan is passionate about creating memorable experiences through thoughtful service, elevated gatherings, and beautifully designed events.
The central experience of treats – treating others and treating one’s self – lies at the heart of Kelan’s vision for Sovereign. “We work so hard in our careers and personal lives, that everyone deserves a break and a reward.” She learned from her grandmother, JoAnne, and her mother, Sonja, the value of small rewards, often hot and baked fresh from the oven, as a way to stay energized and inspired.
Coming together with friends and family to share a delicious meal, raise a glass, and leave with a smile is the vision that drives the entire Sovereign team to deliver an unforgettable experience.
Vincent Watson, Managing Partner:
Vincent Watson’s hospitality journey began at the age of 14, when he started working as a host at a local Mexican cantina. With the skills he developed through his strong work ethic, he quickly advanced to the position of server assistant at one of the industry’s top casual dining establishments. By the age of 16, he was already in management.
At 25, Vincent expanded his entrepreneurial path by founding Contemporary Essentials, his interior design firm. Through his drive and dedication, he became one of the youngest and most sought-after interior designers in the industry. Needless to say, Vincent advanced quickly and with purpose.
He credits his natural hospitality to his upbringing. Raised in a loving family that taught him the value of generosity, Vincent carries those lessons into everything he does. As the youngest of four sisters, he developed a strong sense of care, service, and community that continues to shape his approach to leadership. Through his philanthropic work, he has also had the opportunity to positively impact many lives.
His newest venture, Sovereign, has quickly become one of Atlanta’s hot spots, thanks to Vincent’s leadership. From hosting celebrity birthday celebrations such as Missy Elliott’s iconic birthday event to overseeing day-to-day operations, Vincent takes his role in leading the family business seriously. The exceptional service and care found at Sovereign reflect everything he stands for. Vincent thanks God for the opportunity to bring a new and exclusive vibe to the city, and he looks forward to introducing YOU to the Sovereign experience.
